Generative series for Threads
Generative image series published on Threads: one real base photo and every scene that comes out of it.
The project
The brief
Threads is where I publish the generative work in the open. Each series starts from an ordinary real photo — a portrait against a grey wall, a fitting-room selfie — and resolves into several images published together. It is not an idle experiment: it is the lab where I test what later goes into brand commissions.
The method is what separates a usable result from a model-gallery curiosity. Before generating anything I decide what has to stay untouched — the face, the pose, the light the photo already has — and what may change: the place, the clothes, the time of day. When an output fails, I fix that specific thing instead of rolling the dice again.
I generate in Gemini (Nano Banana), GPT Image and DALL·E depending on what the piece needs, and I always finish in Photoshop: a model output is a negative, not a delivery.
My contribution
- I choose the base photo with the series in mind: a front-on pose in neutral light carries far more scenes than an already-resolved frame.
- I define the concept of each series — a place, a light, a mood — and lock it before generating the first image.
- I keep the person recognisable across every output: that is the condition that makes the whole series believable.
- I discard without regret any output that leaves the palette or warps a detail, however pretty it looks.
- I finish every piece in Photoshop: colour, density, grain and artefact cleanup.
- I publish each series next to its starting photo, and I say what is generated.
